Our client, an industry leading manufacturer recognised for quality, consistency and performance in the MDF, OSB and wider panel products market has a rare opportunity for a Technical Sales Manager to join their team.

With ambitious plans for growth in 2017 they are seeking someone with a proven track record of managing technical led sales of building materials both through distribution and to major End Users.

A technical understanding of panel products, OSB and MDF would be an advantage but not essential as all training will be given. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work without constant supervision, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and commercial groups at all levels. A track record of working in a specification sales market would be an advantage.

Reporting to Senior Management you will be responsible for developing a territory business plan while pro actively developing market demand through supply chain Distributors and major End Users.

Performance Objectives:

To grow and develop brand awareness and deliver technical solutions for value added products within the Industrial, OEM, Architectural and Sub Contractor sectors pulling these solution specifications through Distribution where appropriate.
Attainment of individual sales targets
Introduce the company’s products in End User markets and develop Distributor programmes.
Engage with End Users to provide pull through sales of added value products
Management of project tracking and forecasting on a CRM system or similar tool.
Maintain target calls per month call rate.
