Sheet Materials / Engineered Timber: Area Sales Manager (SE)

We have been retained to recruit an exceptional Area Sales Manager for our client, a leading global manufacturer of engineered wood materials, specialising in the production of melamine faced chipboard, high pressure laminate, melamine faced MDF and a comprehensive range of core materials.

The company’s core customer target group is the value-added decorative products sectors where they enjoy a market leading position in the mid to upper laminate worktop sector. They also have an established national distribution network throughout the UK and Ireland for their impressive product range outlined above.

As well as being major suppliers to the distribution sector, they are also direct suppliers to many of the largest kitchen, office, and decorative furniture component manufacturers in addition to larger HPL laminate fabricators in their market.

The company has ambitious growth plans for 2016 and seeks a seasoned Sales Manager to develop sales in and around the South East of the UK.

Reporting to the UK General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for pro-actively driving sales growth throughout the region through a mixture of managing existing accounts and securing new business. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of selling through major distribution networks within the Building Materials sphere and be ready to make a step up and develop a name for themselves with the full backing of an ambitious, dynamic global operation.

Performance Objectives:

  • Development, implementation and delivery of sales plans in line with company requirements.
  • Maximising revenue by supporting and developing existing distribution and industrial business, whilst actively sourcing and developing new sales opportunities within their targeted product and customer sector.
  • Providing sales support across customer base and identifying further opportunities for growth.
  • Proactively targeting new business and creating sustainable revenue streams through diligent management of territory – demonstrating a high level of energy in getting out and making things happen.
  • Representing the company through well developed and articulate communication, both written and verbal to ensure that the company’s reputation for quality and service is upheld.

Our client is willing to offer a very attractive basic salary (c. £45,000+) commensurate with experience, a fantastic bonus scheme, pension and executive company car.
