Case Study: Timber & Forest Products – Area Sales Manager

As outlined throughout our site: our business is based on three key principals: Relationships; Goals; and Results. Sticking closely to these principles allows us to develop long term relationships with ambitious companies who treat our relationship as more of a ‘partnership’ than that of ‘customer / client’.

One such company is a leading UK manufacturer of timber windows and doors, who we have been working closely with since 2006.  They supply windows and doors into National House Builders and Builders Merchants.

Through the relationship we have built with them we have a thorough understanding of their company and the key skills they look for in potential employees. By fully understanding their Goals and working with them to deliver Results, we have successfully placed 8 Area Sales Managers with them during this time, one of which has since been promoted to Commercial Sales Manager.

We were recently engaged to recruit another Area Sales Manager (our 9th!) covering the South East selling exclusively into Builders Merchants. By following our robust ’20 Step Process’ for finding, approaching and recruiting exceptional individuals, we were able to meet every client requirement within timescale, onboard an outstanding candidate and further strengthen our relationship.
