Work For Us
Welcome to Miller McKenzie’s "Work For Us" pages. We hope that whether you are actively looking for a new position within Recruitment or Executive Search, or just browsing, we hope you will find this section interesting.
Miller McKenzie started life as part of the MRI Network with franchised members covering over 35 countries. Being part of this group offered us industry-leading training – Foundation, Mastery, Leadership, Speciality and Technology which helped us progress our company and the consultants working for us. We offer one to one coaching mentoring and excellent training facilities to grow your recruitment skills and management style.
However, as part of an individual, private business you will enjoy the freedom of an open environment. There will be opportunities to develop your own work autonomously, and to gain recognition and reward. Your manager will personally care about his/her business and nurture his/her staff as though they are family, offering support and guidance whenever necessary.
You will be working on assignments at mid- to senior management level. The assignments you work on will have a direct impact on the direction and future of top–level global companies. You will liaise directly with C-level directors and develop a mastery of your market which will enable you to offer consultation and advice at a senior level. Examples of typical jobs worked on at our offices are:
Specification Sales Manager for a large European owned building products organisation.
Managing Director for a leading brand supplier of lock, window and door hardware.
National Accounts Manager for a market pleader in short-life health & safety wear for the food, catering and pharmaceutical industries.
Site Manager for the UK’s leader in the supply and distribution of industrial consumable goods.
Marketing Executive for a multi million Euro Pan European manufacturer and distributor of FMCG products.
Operations Director and international building materials group with operations in 25 countries, employing 66,000 people.
Regional Sales Manager for one of the UK’s largest producers of environmentally friendly high performance insulation.
Commercial Manager for one of the most technically advanced timber window and door producer in the UK.
On top of all this, we recognise the importance of reward and the celebration of success. You will receive an excellent remuneration and bonus package, which will consist of a competitive basic salary and a bonus made up of a high percentage of the fees you generate.
Why Executive Search?
Many of you reading this information may be considering a new career in Recruitment or Executive Search and will be asking yourselves, "Why Executive Search?"
Speak to any Consultant or Manager in the industry and they will give you a different reason, but here are just a few ideas why we enjoy working in this thriving industry:
The people: You will talk to dozens of people, every day, and for many of them you will be a key advisor or consultant. You will spend time helping individuals to further their careers and change their lives as they move into new positions. You will work closely with clients, delivering solutions to their recruitment needs and, in doing so, helping them to move their businesses forward. In short, in working with people in relation to their career, you have the opportunity to have a genuinely positive effect on the lives of candidates and clients.
Furthermore, most recruitment professionals tend to be outgoing, personable and quick-witted – it's an industry full of personalities and that can make for a great working environment!
An entrepreneurial environment: Although working as part of a supportive and dedicated team, you can have control over your own success and have the autonomy to take your career in the direction you want to go. In Executive Search the amount of effort you put in corresponds directly with the results and rewards you achieve.
High earning potential: On top of your basic salary you will have the potential to earn a high percentage of your billings, which means that your earnings and success are dependent on the effort you put in.
A secure career: Recruitment is one of the fastest-growing business sectors. The industry is worth around £25 billion in the UK alone. Join our industry and you will find yourself in an evolving, exciting and thriving environment.
